In other words making sure your website shows up when user types “YOUR SERVICE” + “YOUR TOWN OR CITY”, for example, “Web Design in London“. The second part is optional, as usually, the browser uses your IP to Geo-locate the query,
There are around 200 factors that Google takes into account to Rank a Website. And it is crucial to send Google the right signals so it can happen the right way.
Before taking a look at the tips it is important to understand that when a user enters a term in the Google search bar what is really happening “under the hood” is a query to Google’s database, meaning that data is already there. So the way Google “understands” your website after crawling it is crucial for Local SEO.
That being said a few of the factors for a better SEO are the following:

Create (or claim) your Google My Business Page. You will need to confirm your address via a postcard sent to your address. That will help your business show up in the Google Maps “7 Pack” search results.

It is one of the most powerful “social proof”. If you are good at what you do or serve, make Google know. Encourage your customer to leave a review. Be natural and please, never fake it.
Social networks like Instagram, Facebook, FourSquare can definitely help to boost your local SEO. Make sure to tag your location everytime you post an article, picture or video, in order to get all the local power they can give you.
